Contemporary Dance Classes

Chloe Nagle Cetinkaya has taught contemporary dance technique, improvisation, dance composition, yoga, and Alexander Technique to adults and children. In her dance classes, dancers explore somatic practices, creative strategies, dance lineages, and personal expression. Chloe’s movement phrases teach dynamic musicality, spatial awareness, functional anatomy, and intentional use of energy. Dancers are challenged to expand their movement vocabularies and versatility in a fun, encouraging environment. Chloe has experience teaching at the college-level, in dance studios, online, in memory care, in community centers, and in performing arts centers to students of diverse ages and abilities.

Chloe’s guiding value is to teach classes that are inclusive and accessible. She is currently integrating trauma informed practices and research into her teaching methodology. She prioritizes creating a classroom environment in which students feel seen and heard. She believes that this approach supports collaboration, creativity, connection, and curiosity. To enhance resiliency and wellness in the dance field, she also centers communication skills, student agency, and self-advocacy skills in her classes. Chloe earned an MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a certified 200 hour yoga instructor and AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
